WHAT IS A BLIND AUCTION ?

A blind auction is a simple and engaging way to raise funds while adding a bit of excitement. Instead of bidding openly, participants write down their bids for items on a sheet or submit them privately, without knowing what others have offered. Each item typically has a minimum starting bid and sometimes a suggested increment, but bidders are free to enter the amount they’re willing to pay. Once the auction closes, the highest bid wins the item.

In the early hours of May 11, 2024, photographer Glen Cairns captured what he describes as “the photo of my life” — the Northern Lights over Old Aberdeen, shimmering above Pittodrie Stadium on Gothenburg Day itself. We’re delighted to have a signed print of this incredible image up for grabs, personally signed by Gothenburg Greats Eric Black and John Hewitt. This is a limited piece, with number 2 owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, making it a truly special collector’s item — an absolute must-have for any Dons fan.
